"EFT often works where nothing else will." Gary Craig, EFT Founder
A traumatic event can produce fears and stress that can seem to take over and dominate your life. The incident can be replayed in the mind building fear and increasing stress levels leading to problems in living your life to the full.
While conventional talk therapies will help a client to cope with the painful memories, the process often involves re-living the event time after time. EFT takes a different approach and directly addresses the emotional pain itself rather than the event that caused the trauma.
EFT ensures that you become desensitised from the event itself and can view it in a detached way. Instead of confronting the trauma by re-visiting the event, EFT works by gradually addressing each of the underlying issues that surround the trauma; it’s rather like removing the individual layers of an onion.
EFT achieves rapid success by working directly on these underlying painful feelings and thoughts. EFT is also used to empower the client and provides a set of tools that can be used to deal with any recurrent painful thoughts before they develop into for example a panic attack.
Another difference between EFT and traditional counselling is the time taken for the patient to feel benefits. With EFT people can often feel relief after the first session and sometimes in moments.
EFT is a form of emotional acupuncture, but without the use of needles, and is a proven way to banish the painful thoughts, anxiety, fear and stress resulting from trauma. Emotional Freedom Techniques are proven methods and practices that provide freedom from the emotional pain and stresses caused by trauma.
And I am so convinced that EFT can help you find relief from the anxiety caused by a traumatic event that I will provide you with a free initial 20 minute consultation.

What is EFT and why is everyone talking about it?

Quite simply EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is the most exciting breakthrough in therapy and personal development in a long time.

According to EFT founder and Stanford Engineer Gary Craig, "Most physical pain, including arthritis joint pain has its basis in emotional pain and EFT often works when nothing else will. Simply stated, EFT is a unique version of acupuncture - except you don't use needles. Instead, you stimulate well established energy meridian points on your body by tapping them with your fingertips."
